There are many UHF translators like Selective TV scattered across the United States because there are many “holes” or “dead spots” in over the air television coverage. These mostly rural areas are too far away to receive signals from metropolitan areas where television broadcasters are located. For example, Alexandria is 130 miles away from the Twin Cities metropolitan area where broadcast stations for all 4 major networks are located.

If you have other questions or would like further clarification on any of the questions listed here please feel free to call the Selective TV office at (320) 763-5924.
